Garden furniture
Care
- Wipe regularly
Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt from the surface. - Protect from prolonged moisture
Wipe up spills as soon as possible to reduce the risk of staining and moisture penetration. - Clean gently if necessary
Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and avoid exposing the wood to unnecessary moisture. - Avoid prolonged, strong sunlight
If possible, place the furniture in a shaded area for extended periods to minimise colour changes.
Oiling
- First clean the surface
Make sure the wood is clean and dry before you start any treatment. - Lightly sand if necessary
If the surface feels uneven, gently sand it with fine-grit sandpaper before oiling. - Apply oil evenly
Use an oil specifically for teak or outdoor wood and apply a thin, even coat. - Remove excess
Allow the oil to penetrate the wood, then wipe away any excess to achieve a more even finish.
Storage
- Dry and frost-free – Store furniture in a dry, frost-free place, preferably indoors during winter.
- Protect from weather conditions – Storing furniture in a sheltered place when not in use helps extend its lifespan.
